Located in Ribera del Duero and owned by the Álvarez family since 1982, Vega-Sicilia is considered Spain’s greatest winery, thanks to the utterly unique character of the wines that issue from its tanks. The owners do not release wines on a timetable, but rather when they feel the vintages are ready to drink. ($400)
