Not many audio product manufacturers can match Denon’s legacy. In 1910 a U.S.-born trader named Frederick Whitney Horn founded Nippon Chikuonki Shokai in Yokohama, Japan, and began making phonographs. Following various mergers and name changes—not to mention numerous innovations in the realms of professional and consumer audio—the company eventually became Denon, as it is know today. To commemorate its 100 years of high fidelity, Denon has introduced several special-edition products that combine to make up a complete home-audio component system and represent the brand’s 100-year legacy.
