A Smoking Encore

Those who were fortunate enough to obtain and smoke one of Robb Report’s 2011 Best of the Best selections, EPC Cigar Co.’s Edición Limitada 6 x 54 Toro, will find a marked similarity in EPC’s new Elencos (which, loosely translated, means the cast of a film or a play). That is because each of the three shapes of this new cigar are hand-rolled in the Dominican Republic with the exact tobaccos and the same blend that catapulted the Edición Limitada to stardom. Of course, the three-year aged Habano Brazilian wrapper, Dominican binder, and Nicaraguan filler will not smoke exactly like the award-winning Toro, because shape helps determine flavor. Nonetheless, the 5¼ x 50 Don Rubino, the 6 x 54 Elites, and the 6¼ x 52 Acto Mayor torpedo all emit the meaty richness and chocolaty countenance that first put the Edición Limitada in the spotlight.
