Chef Ferran Adria and Top Culinary Media Explore Evolution of Gastronomy

World-renowned Spanish chef Ferran Adrià and leading culinary media from around the world gathered March 29 and 30, 2014, at Abadia Retuerta LeDomaine, an historic winery and hotel in Spain’s Duero wine region, for an unprecedented “Culinary Conclave” to explore the evolution of gastronomy.

“At this historic event, leading culinary minds discussed and reflected on the new ideas, approaches and concepts of the past 20 years that have reinvented dining, and explored how continuing innovation and creativity will impact the future,” said Andres Araya, managing director of LeDomaine, an award-winning, 900-year-old medieval abbey and estate that is emerging as one of Spain’s top culinary destinations.

Chef Adrià and the 15 media participants from eight countries discussed a spectrum of trends and developments – from gastronomic watersheds that changed the direction of dining in particular countries, to the incredible growth in culinary savvy worldwide due largely to the internet, TV food shows and social media.An important culinary evolution is underway, they determined, that they will continue to study and analyze at an annual Culinary Conclave.
