The Tuscan resort Castello di Casole has partnered with the Farmhouse Inn, in California’s Sonoma County, to create a new five-day culinary experience at the Italian resort—a former castle located southwest of Florence that dates back to the 10th century.
Upon arrival, guests will be privately shuttled to the 4,200-acre Castello di Casole estate, which boasts 88 acres of vineyards, 13 acres of olive groves, and an expansive trail system for hiking and biking through the Tuscan hills. Throughout the week, guests will participate in culinary classes with the Farmhouse Inn’s Michelin-starred chef Steve Litke and Castello di Casole’s executive chef Daniele Sera, who will also both join the guests for a private dinner.
At the resort’s Essere Spa, guests can enjoy treatments inspired by the region, such as a relaxing grape-seed-oil massage and an invigorating Mediterranean aromatherapy treatment with essential oils of orange and basil. Those looking for some culturally inspired activities can partake in Italian language classes at the resort, painting lessons led by local artists, and guided tours of Siena and Florence.
The experience takes place from June 15 through 20, and starts at around $1,800 per couple per night. (866.840.4464, www.castellodicasole.com)
