Take your summer grilling to the next level and join acclaimed barbecue authority Steven Raichlen June 25 through 26 for a weekend centered around learning grilling and smoking techniques at the Kalamazoo Culinary Center in Chicago. In an intimate 4-hour, hands-on class, attendees will get the chance to cook on Kalamazoo’s high-performance grills and pizza ovens while Raichlen walks them through eight of his favorite barbeque dishes, from spatchcock chicken “al Mattone” to grilled sangria, caveman corn, and even a grilled dessert. Attendees will stay at The Langham and upon arrival will be greeted with a private Welcome Dinner at James Beard award-winning executive chef Paul Kahan’s event space, Publican Quality Meats.
