Hot Luck, May 24–27

Pitmaster Aaron Franklin in Austin has created a food and music festival in the Texas capital that brings together an amazing roster of chefs from Texas and beyond. Franklin, of Franklin Barbecue fame and the new owner of Asian smokehouse Loro, built the multiday Hot Luck festival around a signature event on Saturday night. Al Fuego at the Wild Onion Ranch celebrates the open-fire cooking style from around the world. Participants include Ashley Christensen of Poole’s, Renee Erickson of The Walrus and the Carpenter, Zach Hunter of Brewer’s Table, Tyson Cole of Uchi, and more.
