Those with an appetite for both fine food and fairways will be delightfully sated with Robb Report’s Culinary Masters at the Montage Palmetto Bluff resort in South Carolina from September 29 through October 1. Lending their time and talents to the epicurean escape will be nine world-renowned chefs, including Daniel Boulud, Thomas Keller, and Jérôme Bocuse, who will not only be collaborating in the kitchen, but also competing on the links.
After arriving on Thursday, September 29, guests will be welcomed by an opening reception and gala dinner prepared by the distinguished chefs. Thursday and Friday’s menu can be filled with additional activities from the Montage’s smorgasbord of amenities (such as Spa Montage, tennis, and yachting), but the main enticement consists of the evening’s gala banquet. For the exclusive repast, the distinguished chefs will create a dish in the five-course presentation. Paired with the meal is an auction where participants have the opportunity to bid on premier products and experiences by the chefs and the event’s partners.
On Friday, attendees are given their share of greens during a casual golf tournament played out on the resort’s Jack Nicklaus–designed May River course. And to ensure that the camaraderie remains in full swing, several of the celebrity chefs will play golf with the guests. An award ceremony, lowcountry dinner, as well as a farewell brunch on Saturday will follow.
The Culinary Masters weekend at the Montage is priced at $6,500 per couple for one golfer or $8,000 if both play. Included in the cost are all event meals, tournament entry, two nights accommodation at Montage Palmetto Bluff, and airport transfers. Proceeds, including those from the auction, benefit Ment’or—a foundation devoted to inspiring culinary excellence in younger generations.
