Bidding is Now Live for Lyric Opera’s Wine Auction 2015

CHICAGO, Ill. (January 8, 2015) – The Women’s Board of the Lyric Opera of Chicago is pleased to announce the Lyric Opera Wine Auction catalogue is now live for viewing and bidding online at www.lyricopera.org/wineauction2015. The triennial fundraiser’s digital platform offers wine enthusiasts from around the world the ability to access some of the most sought after wines in the world as well as one-of-a-kind travel and dining experiences. With the click of a button wine lovers across the globe can join the excitement of the live and silent auctions of Wine Auction 2015 while supporting the activities of the Lyric Opera of Chicago.

Showcasing nearly 225 lots and more than 1,200 bottles, including collectible wines, prestigious vintages and newer cult wines, this year’s wine lots provide an array of appealing options for both new and seasoned collectors. In the travel and dining categories, luxury living gets redefined with more than 45 exquisite experiences featuring world-class dining and global travel destinations. Highlights include:

African Safari for Two with Wildlife Photographer Sue Flood | Lot 19

Accompanied by award-winning wildlife photographer Sue Flood, this is the luxury safari of a lifetime. Online Bidding 101

Live Auction. Pre-bids for the Live Auction will be accepted until 12:00 a.m. CST on February 6, 2015 and represented in real time by the Hart Davis Hart Auctioneer the evening of the event. Silent Auction. All prospective bidders must register with Lyric Opera of Chicago and AuctionsByCellular (ABC) prior to placing any silent (or live) auction bids. Bids may be placed now through the duration of the silent auction on February 7, 2015. Bids will be represented in real time.
