The inspiration of cigar smoker and Dalmore master blender Richard Paterson, this is the new-est incarnation of the first and only cigar-specific single malt, which was originally introduced in 1999. Specially vatted with 70 percent Oloroso sherry Matusalem-aged whiskies and 30 percent ex–bourbon barrel aged whiskies, the Dalmore boasts a floral smoothness. The result is a harmonious blend of plump red fruit, cedar, citrus, and marmalade, a palate-pleasing combination perfectly matched to a Fuente Hemingway from the Dominican Republic, or any Nicaraguan puro from Padrón.
