Four French Brands Team Up to Create a Limited-Edition Cognac Set

Featuring a travel trunk, glasses, and decanter, the exhibit will be on display in New York City…

Louis XIII Cognac has partnered with a triad of prolific brands to create L’Odyssée d’un Roi, an experiential exhibition that will be on display this month in New York City. The limited-edition set includes pieces made by three other respected French companies: Saint-Louis, the oldest crystal and glass manufacturer in Europe; high-end silversmith Puiforcat; and Hermès, the 179-year-old French fashion house. The set comprises an Hermès hand-stitched travel trunk with a hand-forged white-gold Puiforcat pipette, four Saint-Louis glasses, and a Cognac decanter engraved with a 19th-century map of Louis XIII’s travels. The decanter is filled with a rare blend of Louis XIII Cognac that was painstakingly created over more than a 100-year time period. After an exclusive unveiling in New York City on May 19, the exhibition will be presented to the public for two days, May 20 through 21. The set will be auctioned off by Sotheby’s this fall.
