The bespoke bacchanal begins on Wednesday, March 2, with a dinner hosted by Joël Robuchon at his eponymous, Michelin three-star restaurant within the Mansion hotel at MGM Grand. Seven courses will be complemented by samplings of some of the Glenlivet’s most exquisite expressions. On Thursday, those with the High Roller package will have an opportunity to sip on Super Pours—top-tier tastings that feature selections valued at a minimum of $300 per measure. Friday’s focus will be on the Nth 2016 Show itself, the main tasting event highlighting the distinctive distillates from over 80 exhibitors, as well as appetizers from Encore’s executive chef James Benson. A High Rollers reception dinner caps off the evening. The final day is devoted to enhanced understanding of uisce beatha (“water of life,” as whiskey is referred to in Gaelic) with a choice of 13 master classes featuring experts from distilleries in Scotland, Ireland, and Japan.
