Moraga Vineyards 2008 White Wine

The only vineyard located in the tony Los Angeles neighborhood of Bel-Air, Moraga comprises 16 acres of land with soils containing deep gravel and ancient beds of seashell. These soil compositions and the ocean influences combine to create growing conditions similar to those of Bordeaux—hence owner Tom Jones’ decision to plant both red and white varietals from that particular region. This Sauvignon Blanc–based blend boasts flavors of white peach, bright acidity, and a lush, clean finish. ($65)
