From September 7 through 10, a select number of participants will receive an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience of Napa Valley’s annual grape harvest. The Napa Valley Experience—a new program created by the nonprofit wine-trade association Napa Valley Vintners—will bring 24 guests on a three-day excursion to Northern California’s world-renowned wine region. Relais & Châteaux’sMeadowood Napa Valley resort will provide accommodations during the trip, which will feature specially prepared meals at the Far Niente winery and Michael Chiarello’s Bottega restaurant as well as a private wine-blending session at Opus One, Hall Wines, or Silverado Vineyards.
Over the course of the visit, guests will also attend a traditional harvest party at Chappellet Vineyard, meet with three generations of the famous Mondavi winemaking family, attend an intimate wine tasting at the home of Margrit Mondavi led by the master sommelier Andrea Robinson, and go through an extraordinary tasting of 10 of Napa Valley’s finest wines, each of which has earned a perfect score from reviewers at the Wine Advocate.
