The Chestnut Club in Santa Monica, Calif., takes cocktails extremely seriously, as evidenced by its library of over 400 spirits and a dress code that curtails shorts, sandals, and baseball caps in order to show proper respect for the mixology at hand. Ingredients:
- 1 oz. Rittenhouse Rye
- 1 oz. Vida mezcal
- 1½ oz. Bénédictine D.O.M.
- 4 dashes of Peychaud’s bitters
Directions:
Build the drink in a double rocks glass containing a large ice cube, then add an orange twist.
