For many, it wouldn’t be New Year’s Eve without a bottle of Dom to honor the old year and ring in the new. This latest edition from the French Champagne house is a collaboration with Japanese artist Tokujin Yoshioka and contains the Dom Pérignon 2009 vintage ($169). The reimagined label’s radiance reflects the unprecedented number of days of sunshine and heat during the 2009 growing season. Citrus zest combines with ripe nectarine, white peach, and a signature toasted brioche on the nose. The wine has enough acid to cut through richer dishes and a minerality that is a match for oysters and other shellfish.
