WHAT: Customizable dive computer
WHY: What you need to surface successfully
Made to withstand the roughest underwater conditions, the Suunto Eon Steel dive computer ($1,440) sports a brushed stainless-steel bezel, Xensation glass display, and a base made of reinforced composite composed of more than 50 percent glass fiber. The pressure sensor delivers accuracy and is water resistant up to 150 meters (492 feet). A fully charged EON Steel provides up to 40 hours of dive time, worn your way. Choose from an elastomer wrist strap or a bungee, attachable anywhere (both included). Protect the carrier of your vital information with the rubber boot (also included). In terms of customization, you can choose between a classic, text-based interface style and a more visual graphical presentation. You also can select up to four custom displays, choosing what information is shown on which screen based on what you need to know while underwater. Download the free Suunto DM5 software to log and plan dives and to customize and update your Eon Steel.
