Every bit as fashionable as previous models, the new Vertu Ti mobile phone ( is even more functional. It is equipped with the Android 4.0 operating system and has a 1.7 GHz processor, a 1.3-megabyte Skype-capable camera, and 64 gigabytes of internal memory. This is Vertu’s first model since the manufacturer split from its parent company, Nokia, last fall. The Ti features a titanium case (Ti is the periodic table symbol for titanium), a 3.7-inch sapphire-crystal screen, and optional red-gold or black-leather accents. Prices range from $9,600 to nearly $20,000 for the red-gold version.
