Robb Report Announces Winners of the 28th Annual Best of the Best Awards

June Issue Honors over 150 Luxury Brands, Including Bentley, Benetti, Embraer, Fabergé, Kiton, Mandarin Oriental & More

NEW YORK, NY (June 1, 2016) — Robb Report, the leading voice in luxury, has announced the winners of its 28th annual Best of the Best awards, spotlighting more than 150 brands across the luxury sector. Unveiled in the magazine’s June issue, the hotly anticipated list is a connoisseur’s guide to the world’s finest automobiles, yachts, watches, wines, fashions, hotels, and more.

This year’s Best of the Best honorees range from luxury icons to pioneering up-and-comers. Audi, Rolls-Royce, Acura, BMW, and Bentley each lead segments in the Wheels category with powerful performance and a dash of the unexpected. Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford, Ermenegildo Zegna, Kiton, Tiffany & Co., James de Givenchy for Taffin, and Hemmerle are among the many fashion and jewelry brands lauded in the Style category, with stunning men’s and women’s watches from Vacheron Constantin, Van Cleef & Arpels, and others receiving targeted accolades for innovation and design. Robb Report’s esteemed travel authorities scoured the globe for the Journeys category, sampling the most exquisite resorts, hotels, spas, villas, cruise ships, and golf courses. Bali’s Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve—praised by the writer as a “spiritual awakening”—wins the coveted Best of the Best award in the resorts segment, while the Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech, the brand’s first outpost in Africa, is honored as the top hotel.

“Choosing among the most exceptional products, services, designs, and destinations to be found anywhere in the world is certainly no mean task for the editorial staff,” said Brett Anderson, Robb Report’s editor in chief. “The process began a year ago, and during that span of time, the opinions of the editors and the contributors inevitably shift. Still, in the end, our final decisions are guided not only by our obsessive passion for absolute quality—that’s a given—but also by the people, places, and creations that speak to our imaginations in a language uniquely their own.”

From a dazzling diamond-and-crystal whiskey decanter to Philippe Starck’s chic styles for the salle de bain, Robb Report shares selections for the Best of the Best in decor, art, and electronics. The June issue also showcases the boldest yachts, including amazing designs from Riva and Monte Carlo Yachts, and high-flying business jets from Gulfstream, Bombardier, and more.

No series of awards in luxury would be complete without a toast to the top wines and liquors. More than 20 wines from vintners such as Mayacamas Vineyards, Château Rayas, and Domaine Coche-Dury are celebrated, and WhistlePig’s 12-Year-Old World Rye receives top honors in the Spirits category. Davidoff’s Escurio—a Brazilian-leaf blend described as “a sublimely smooth smoke”—has been named the winning cigar for 2016.
