Eagerly Awaited October Issue Lauds the International Luxury Sector’s Most Influential Collectors and Aficionados
MALIBU, CA (October 1, 2015) — The international luxury lifestyle authority Robb Report, in collaboration with the global wealth-intelligence firm Wealth-X, today announces the “Robb 50” list of the world’s most influential connoisseurs of art, automobiles, jewelry, watches, wine, spirits, sports memorabilia, and Thoroughbreds.
In compiling this first-ever list, Robb Report sought to identify the individuals who best embody the definition of a true collector. From patrons of contemporary art to curators of the best cult Cabernet Sauvignon, Robb Report and Wealth-X salute the 50 men and women behind the world’s most prized private collections.
“These aficionados are recognized not because they own the largest or most valuable collections (though many do), but because their appreciation and detailed understanding of their chosen subjects have earned them the deep respect of their peers and industry experts,” explains Robb Report Editor in Chief Brett Anderson.
The exclusive list features well-known individuals, such as music-industry mogul David Geffen; comedian and former Tonight Show host Jay Leno; best-selling novelist Danielle Steele; and hip-hop impresario Jay Z. It also includes prominent names from the international collector world, such as philanthropists and entrepreneurs Eli and Edythe Broad; Kendall-Jackson owner Barbara Banke; Joe Wender, former managing director of Goldman Sachs; Brazilian philanthropist Lily Safra; Geary’s Beverly Hills president Bruce Meyer; and socialite Dede Wilsey, a descendant of Dow Chemical’s founder.
Robb Report will unveil a robust digital version of the Robb 50 online at robbreport.com/Robb50. In addition to complete profiles of the 50 connoisseurs selected for the print feature, the digital version spotlights exclusive online content, including supplemental photos of the connoisseurs and their collections and in-depth commentary from leading independent experts regarding the various collector markets highlighted in the feature. Robb Report will promote coverage of the Robb 50 across social-media platforms using the hashtag #Robb50. The launch of the digital component will coincide with the debut of Robb Report’s October issue, now on newsstands.
Robb Report’s app content, with its stunning visuals, is presented in an innovative and user-friendly manner that enhances luxury enthusiasts’ experience of the magazine. The iPad version provides access to all print-edition content when viewed in portrait (vertical) format, and it unlocks a wide range of interactive enhancements in landscape (horizontal) mode.
Robb Report is accessible to digital users via the iPad, Kindle Fire, and Nook Tablet. It is also available through Zinio’s online newsstand, Magzter, and Google Play.
