Gerad Gobel, who recently returned to the expanded Allis—a mezzanine-level lounge, café, and bar—and introduced a fresh menu showcasing stylishly updated breakfast-to-dinner comfort food.
Gobel’s Amish chicken pot pie ($14), along with a throwback afternoon tea ($34) that comes fully stocked with scones and a green amandine loose-leaf tea.
Bar manager Jorge Vallejo’s house tonics, including an Eastern Standard (think gin, sugar, cucumber, and mint).
The restaurant is named for the family that commissioned the circa-1907 factory that houses the Allis and the Soho House hotel. The rooftop pool and boxing room are available to members and hotel guests. (theallis.com)
