Great Plains Foundation Takes Cycling to New Heights

Ride for a cause to help in the conservation efforts for the king of the jungle…

After years in the making, Great Plains Foundation is offering an unprecedented cycling experience that aids in the rehabilitation of Africa’s land and wildlife. The Ride for Lions cycling event is a six-day mountain biking experience through the Amboseli-Tsavo regions and the Chyulu Hills in southeast Kenya. Each day holds new wonders, including the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro, the vast great plains of Kenya, and the savannah wildlife. The tour will be separated into five departure dates, each with two groups comprising 10 riders each. The cost per rider is $17,500; however, if booked before August 31, an early rate of $15,000 is available. All revenue from the tour will go toward expanding predator-protected areas and livestock compensation. The tour will be available in five different departures in 2017 between May 11 and 20.
