“Louis Vuitton partnered with the artist and provocateur Jeff Koons for its new Masters collection, which launched just after our cutoff for this year’s Best of the Best. The collection repurposes Koons’s Gazing Ball paintings—large-scale reproductions of works by old masters—for its signature leather bags and accessories ($585 to $4,000). Each design features a Koons-ified version of the LV monogram, marking the first time the house has allowed it to be altered.”
