Utah-based manufacturer Soul Poles’ claim to fame is using bamboo to create their signature ski poles. Not only is the material more sustainable and environmentally friendly, bamboo is also twice as strong as aluminum and offers exceptional durability. The company’s most exclusive poles are the Limited Edition by R. Nelson Parrish (Venice), which are hand painted by their namesake contemporary artist in a cheery color scheme that is meant to evoke both the Venice of Italy and of California. Each set is priced at $350; custom engravings are optional.
