If for any reason you can’t see the certificate, that’s a bad thing, and you should reconsider your decision to make the trip, because the lack of a certificate suggests all sorts of bad things, including that the ownership and custody chain of the airplane might be in question. It’s a red flag. If the certificate looks tampered with, or if it looks temporary or in any way poorly displayed, that’s also a bad thing.”
