Cessna Citation X+

In response to feedback from customers who wanted a faster Citation model, Cessna developed and launched the Citation X in the 1990s. The customers certainly got what they wanted. The Citation X had a maximum cruising speed of 607 mph and a maximum operating speed of 617 mph (Mach 0.935). In 2012, the model was upgraded to the X+, which has more range and all the speed of its predecessor. Cessna calls it the world’s fastest civilian aircraft, and the numbers support that claim.
