The limited-edition CTS-V Wagon is nearly as audacious as a Corvette hearse and faster than almost anything on the road. Built on the platform of Cadillac’s wildly entertaining CTS-Vsedan and equipped with a 6.2-liter, supercharged V-8 that pumps out 556 hp and 551 ft lbs of stump-pulling torque, the wagon catapults from zero to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and tops 176 mph.
Cadillac builds each wagon to order, with a starting price of about $64,000. We recommend ordering one with the optional Tremec 6-speed manual transmission, for fun and absurdity alone, and because no one—no one—could have predicted that in 2011 a stick-shift Caddy station wagon would be able to more than hold its own against the best offerings from Europe.
Not for the meek, the wagon displays trendsetting lines that are as sharp as the vision of those brave souls at GM who had the guts to bring this special automobile to market.
