The new $300,000 Phantom as well as Allen Swift’s 1928 Springfield Phantom I, which he received as a 26th-birthday gift in 1929, and Nic Moller’s Silver Ghost Landaulette, which was delivered new to the maharani of Baroda in 1914, will be in Newport, R.I., from July 29 through August 2 for the members-only 52nd Annual Meet of the Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club (800.TRY.RROC). Swift, Moller, and more than 1,000 other collectors of the world’s most prestigious marques will meet, greet, and swap stories about their treasured automobiles.
Rolls-Royce and Bentley officially parted ways in January, but Winged B owners remain welcome at the meet. The new $170,000 Bentley Continental GT will make an appearance, as will Moller’s 1927 Big Six Bentley.
The meet will include technical seminars and diagnostic clinics as well as drives and an awards banquet at Rosecliff, one of Newport’s “cottages.”
