Audi A8

Show cars don’t always make it into production, but Audi’s new A8 flagship sedan takes many of its design cues straight from the company’s Prologue concept car. Along with its sibling the Audi A7 Sportback, the new A8 features taut, clean lines, a wide singleframe grille, and a broad single strip of lights across the rear end. More than half of the body is aluminum, making it stiffer and more responsive than its predecessor. The updated interior builds on Audi’s “virtual cockpit” theme with wide, dual-stacked touchscreens that replace nearly all of the analog buttons on the instrument panel. As with the forthcoming A7, the new A8 will be equipped with a host of semi-autonomous driving feature and will be powered by a mild hybrid system that pairs a 48-volt electric starter-generator to a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6.
