Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody
Dodge’s tire-shredding Challenger SRT Hellcat is all about power. The “Widebody” takes the Hellcat’s 6.2-liter, supercharged Hemi V8 engine and drops it into a body that’s 3.5 inches wider than the standard Hellcat. Fender flares are borrowed from the Dodge Demon – the company’s new, 840-hp muscle car. The standard 20-inch Pirelli performance tires are 1.5 inches wider for increased grip. The result is slightly improved lap times and shaves 0.1 seconds off the standard Challenger Hellcat’s 0-60 mph time. Traditionalists will be glad to know that the SRT Widebody Hellcat can come with a six-speed manual transmission; the other gearbox choice is an 8-speed automatic.
