The 25th annual Goodwood Festival of Speed will pay special tribute to Porsche.
The fabled British gathering of vintage racers and racing cars is putting a spotlight on Porsche this year, which includes giving company officials the privilege—for a record third time—of creating the Festival of Speed’s central artistic display.
Among the special Porsche cars confirmed to participate in the Duke of Richmond’s rarefied gathering are arguably the alpha and omega of Porsche’s heritage: that very first 356, No. 001, and the most recent racing arrow in Porsche’s quiver, the 919 Hybrid LMP1 that took top honors at the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championships.
The 25th annual Goodwood event will also feature a Porsche Experience Centre, which will, as the name suggests, allow enthusiasts to experience the brand’s newest products. It runs from July 12 through 15.
