Peace and quiet on the open seas.
The most striking feature of Perini Navi’s Grace E is its sundeck, which was designed as a health spa at the request of the owners; they wanted the 240-foot trideck superyacht to be a spa at sea. The designer Philippe Briand accommodated that request by outfitting the 2,500-square-foot space with a hydrotherapy room that includes a cold plunge pool, a meditation room that features a 180-degree view of the sea, and a massage area that is connected to a hammam-style steam room. The deck’s outdoor area features six sun pads, a hot tub, and shaded seating pods.
A remarkably quiet diesel-electric power plant is another feature adding to the tranquility that the yacht can foster. When that propulsion system is producing enough energy to propel the yacht at 14 knots, the noise level in the saloon reaches just 45.5 decibels, which is about as loud as it is in a library. The propulsion system also features zero-speed stabilizers, which maintain the yacht’s equilibrium when anchored; however, a dynamic positioning system allows the yacht to maintain its position without dropping anchor.
Throughout the yacht, the living and entertaining areas reflect designer Rémi Tessier’s preference for large open spaces with contemporary decor. The main saloon is furnished with tables made of onyx and ebony, and the ceiling is covered with palladium leaf, which helps illuminate the room by reflecting the ceiling’s cove lighting. The upper-deck skylounge is outfitted with a marble sushi bar, a wraparound sofa, and two drop-down televisions.
The yacht can accommodate as many as 12 guests in seven staterooms. A 1,000-square-foot full-beam master suite and two VIP suites are situated on the main deck, and four additional guest cabins, each with an en suite bathroom and shower, are located on the lower deck. Grace E’s tender garage contains enough tenders, personal watercraft, and other recreational equipment to satisfy guests seeking excitement as well as tranquility.
