The Riva Iseo (www.riva-yacht.com) is one of the storied Italian brand’s most exciting launches in recent years. The 170-year-old builder, which debuted the Iseo last summer, implemented its first hybrid propulsion system as an option for this 27-foot cruiser. The system features a zero-emission mode, making the boat ideal for use on lakes with emission restrictions, such as Lake Tahoe, on the California-Nevada border. Other high-tech features include software that allows owners to access GPS charts, weather forecasts, and the boat’s user manual—and control the entertainment system and other onboard functions—with an Apple iPad. The Iseo’s styling is classic Riva, with an abundance of mahogany, and the company offers a convertible cover and a car trailer made specifically for the model. Power options range from a 260 hp Yanmar to a 320 hp Mercruiser, the latter pushing the $366,000 Iseo to its 41-knot top speed.
