Cigarette Racing is the grand old dame of performance boats. The Miami-based builder has made something of a dramatic return to former glory with boats like its Grand Sport II, which made its debut at the 2009 Fort Lauderdale boat show. Based on a hull that was launched last year, the GSII’s deck was raised to make the cabin more comfortable. Finished in bird’s-eye maple, the interior is well finished, with a complete galley, full head and excellent six-foot headroom. The cockpit is an amateur throttle jockey’s dream, with the deep seats, good visibility, and a high-tech helm. Twin 715-hp Cummins diesels mated to Arneson surface drives gives the GSII a top end of tk mph. The paint scheme, incorporating official Ferrari pants like Nero Daytona black, Grigio Ingrid gold metallic, and Ferrari Fiorano Rosso red, gives the new Cigarette an extra touch of class.
