Lürssen Launches the 312-foot Megayacht Kismet

The yacht formerly known as Project Global will spend its inaugural charter season in the Caribbean…

Last month, the German shipbuilder Lürssen launched the new 312-foot megayacht Kismet. Formerly referred to as Project Global, the new boat was commissioned by a repeat Lürssen client who wanted an upgrade from his 223-foot yacht.

Designed by the famed naval architect Espen Oeino, Kismet’s exterior is painted in gray with black deckhouse walls and white highlights and features long banks of windows spread across all four decks. Outdoor amenities include lounging and eating areas, an open fireplace, a fully equipped barbecue, Jacuzzis, and a pool with a countercurrent system.

The ship’s interior, which was created by Reymond Langton Design, features wide-open public spaces. Beyond the owner’s cabin, six staterooms can accommodate as many as 12 guests and are outfitted in a wide range of textiles, exotic woods, leather, and marble.

Starting in September, Kismet will be available for charter in the Caribbean through Moran Yacht and Ship for a weekly base rate of roughly $1.6 million. (www.lurssen.com)
