Perini Navi’s 184-foot aluminum-hull Riela is a ketch-rigged sailing yacht with a distinct style. The boat’s serene interior features Macassar ebony custom furniture, light teak flooring, and bleached wenge walls, but also offers such playful touches as a bright orange leather trunk filled with old-school board games. For outdoor entertainment, the yacht has a sundeck with a hot tub and bar area. Launched in April 2009, Riela spends winters in the Caribbean, from where she will sail through the Panama Canal and head to the Galápagos Islands for the spring. Nine crewmembers serve as many as 12 guests and man the boat’s more than 16,000 square feet of sail. For off-board excursions, Riela carries two Castoldi 21-foot tenders and two sailing dinghies.
