RMK Marine to Unveil New RMK 5000 Explorer at Monaco Yacht Show 2013

RMK  Marine  and  Hot  Lab  Yacht  &  Design  will  unveil  the RMK 5000 Explorer concept vessel at the  2013  Monaco Yacht Show.  There will be two primary variations, the True Luxury Explorer and the Leisure, both of which have a great deal of flexibility to suit the individual client requirements and the tastes of the current market.

Designed with  modern  lines  and  soft curves, the vessels have a  smooth, uncluttered look and feel. The full displacement hulls on both designs provide long-range cruising, thanks  to the  diesel/electric propulsion package under 500  GT thresholds. Both projects  accommodate up to  10 guests plus owner and 8 crew plus the Captain.

On  the  True  Luxury  Explorer concept,  there  is  a  vast  aft  deck specifically designed  to accommodate a tender of up to 10.2m. When equipping the aft deck with the custom tender, the area beneath is dedicated to underwater and on-water excursion toys including submarine, diving room, hovpods and jet-skis. This area can also be converted into a  “touch and go” helicopter deck, which will give the owner and guests the freedom of exploring even the most secluded areas. With the  heli  deck  version  aft,  a  tender  of  9m  can  be  stored  under  the  main  deck behind the engine room.

On  the  Leisure  concept, the  helipad  is  substituted  with  a  6  meter  wide swimming pool and sunbeds, creating an environment of peace and quiet. The 9m tender is cleverly placed in the lazarette, which uses an overhead crane to deploy it easily over the side into the sea.

WATCH

For both the True Luxury Explorer and Leisure design, the beach club area is to the  stern.  A hydraulically operated transom door creates an extended area for the beach club.

Each layout has four large cabins with en suite bathroom in the central part of lower deck. The crew has four double cabins, a big crew mess and a laundry. On  the starboard side, at the center of the main deck, the yacht has a spacious lobby, which leads to a   huge  master  cabin  with  a  folding  balcony,  a  lounge area, a big vanity and a king size bed.

The yacht’s muscled hull is designed to “ice class standards” to overcome the harshest marine environments. İn order to give the best range, RMK Marine will provide for two propulsion packages: a diesel/electric option or a diesel only system  with  no  interruption  on  longer  voyages  such  as  transatlantic  or transpacific crossings.
