Seafaring sojourners can now book reservations for the once-in-a-lifetime World Cruise 2017 tour, a 116-day ocean voyage that highlights 62 destinations in 25 countries. Orchestrated by Silversea Cruises aboard its luxury ship Silver Whisper, the cruise departs from San Francisco Bay on January 6, 2017. The lineup includes overnight stays in historic locales, gorgeous panoramas of tropical vistas, and breathtaking views of ancient citadels. The cruise will accept only 382 guests, ensuring passengers can mingle and form long-lasting relationships with other travelers.

The cruise will showcase ancient attractions and modern marvels in New Zealand, Australia, Bali, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Greece, and several other countries before the journey’s end in Monte Carlo on May 3. Guests sailing the entire 116 days will be treated to a gala Bon Voyage reception, dinner and an overnight stay at the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco, baggage valet service, a $4,000 onboard spending credit (per double-occupancy suite), complimentary laundry service and dry cleaning, gifts, and free Wi-Fi. Full-cruise guests also can take in three complimentary shoreside trips: an overnight expedition to Shanghai, where they can explore China’s terra-cotta warriors in Xian; a stint on Sir Bani Yas island off the coast of Abu Dhabi, where they can marvel at exotic animals and partake in an elegant lunch at the island resort; and a trip through Hawaii’s Pacific Aviation Museum at Pearl Harbor.

Guests sailing for 50 days or more can participate in a robust beach party on Boracay Island and a presentation at Malta’s Teatru Manoel, a restored 18th-century theater. Local wine tastings, sightseeing tours, and shopping excursions will enable guests to immerse themselves fully in the unique culture and heritage of each country. All-inclusive fares for World Cruise 2017 start at $61,550 per person, based on double occupancy. (silversea.com)
