When a boat gets chosen as an America’s Cup tender, it has to be good. Sir Ben Ainslie chose a UK-built Silurian for his British Challenge of the Cup because of its fast but seaworthy hull. The 34-foot Scorpion Silurian, which can be powered by twin outboard engines rated up to 800 hp, has a stepped hull that gives it plenty of get up and go, but also an uncanny ability to track in all sea conditions. Its upscale look with a particularly sharp bow makes it a stylish running mate for any superyacht. The RIB can be customized with seating in the bow and stern areas, and color-coordinated with any mothership. The first inboard version is being built.
