Being just a few feet from killer whales, sea lions, and dozens of other forms wildlife can be an otherworldly experience. Having the mountains of Baja Mexico as the backdrop makes the setting even more dramatic. Seeing it on Here Comes the Sun makes it the trip of a lifetime. With a stunning profile by Tim Heywood and an elegant, contemporary Andrew Winch interior, the 272-footer from Amels was one of last year’s most important launches. The upper deck has master and VIP (which can partition to become four staterooms) suites and the main deck has four other VIP suites. The boat’s wellness spa, beach club, infinity pool, and Jacuzzi make onboard living a gracious experience. Here Comes the Sun has more than 15,000 square feet of interior space and 11,000 square feet of usable exterior space. The Amels yacht will be splitting its time this summer between Mexico and Southern Alaska (U.S. residents are, oddly enough, verboten from chartering in U.S. waters). A crew of up to 24 will be on board to make any week the experience of a lifetime. Weekly rates are about $1,273,000 through Fraser.
