Patterson Boatworks Elektra

The UK-built Elektra from Patterson Boatworks is a simple but very stylish launch, with an open transom, a step-up into the cockpit, and a seat in front of the center helm. The boat is built with a carbon-fiber hull. The interior is finished with custom-made upholstery and hand-varnished English oak. The teak decks have been caulked with silver to add a touch of style. The owners also have the choice of colors for the hull and cockpit, as well as electric engines, which range from six to 120 hp. The most powerful engine delivers an impressive top speed of 30 knots. At normal cruising speed, the Elektra has a range of 25 miles. Like other electric boats, acceleration is instantaneous. Thin-film solar fabrics on the bimini and decks also allow the boat to recharge via sunlight.
