Sailing Yacht: Perini Navi Seven
The third in Perini Navi’s 60-meter series, the 192-foot sailing yacht Seven was designed for fast and luxurious cruising. More than a lucky number for its owner, Ennio Doris, the yacht is named for his seven grandchildren. Design studio Dante O. Benini’s interior has a soft, elegant feel, defined by light-colored sycamore woodwork and Armani Casa decor, as well as a six-stateroom layout with two master suites. With its smart interior design, Seven feels larger than most sailing superyachts. It is also one of the most advanced examples ever built, with a total sail area of 22,360 square feet and a main mast towering 204 feet above the keel. The raw power it generates under sail is almost unimaginable, and all of the sailing work is automated, accomplished by pushing buttons and maneuvering joysticks on the helm. Belowdecks, electrical captive winches furl and trim sails much faster than any crew could.
