Lürssen’s 512-foot Dilbar became a record breaker last year as the world’s largest superyacht. The measurement is not by length, where the vessel comes in fourth, but by volume. Dilbar’s 17,545 tons allowed Lürssen to create an interior that is more spacious than any other yacht’s. Owners and guests have 41,000 square feet of saloons, staterooms, and spa and cinema spaces to explore. Dilbar’s indoor swimming pool is the largest ever built on a yacht. Designer Andrew Winch incorporated rare hardwoods and stones into the interior; he calls it “culturally unique.” Dilbar is also a technical breakthrough: its diesel-electric engines are the largest ever on a yacht, and they deliver a top speed of 22.5 knots.
