The last time this Italian superyacht builder partnered with Pininfarina was for Destriero. That 197-foot beauty set a record in 1992 for the fastest transatlantic crossing, with speeds averaging 60 knots. While the Ottantacinque concept is a very different collaboration, the 279-footer’s powerful, graceful lines are everything one would expect from the Ferrari design house. The five-deck Ottantacinque includes 14 cabins for 16 guests, with quarters for 19 crew members.
Twin pools on the main deck can be raised or lowered, while the main saloon areas have beautiful tear-drop-shaped skylights. Fincantieri and Pininfarina appropriately refer to the Ottantacinque concept as “the technology of beauty” because those two forces are melded so gracefully together. (fincantieriyachts.it)
