The Monte Carlo Method
The Recently announced Monte Carlo Yachts MCY 105 (montecarloyachts.it) will be by far the largest model in the brand’s MCY line of semicustom motor yachts, dwarfing the 86-footer that launched last year and made its U.S. debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November. Details about the MCY 105 were presented earlier this fall at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Hull number one has already been sold and is expected to be completed this summer. Like Monte Carlo’s other MCY models, the smallest of which is 65 feet, the 105 will be distinguished by high-rising bulwarks up front that create an imposing bow. The yacht’s features include a large Portuguese deck at the bow, a spacious flybridge, a raised pilothouse, and a main-deck full-beam master suite with an abundance of windows. Monte Carlo is an Italian brand based in Monfalcone that was established in 2010 by the Beneteau Group, a 130-year-old French company that owns several other brands. Monte Carlo also offers the MC line of flybridge and hardtop motor yachts ranging from 40 feet to 60 feet.
