Sybaris was the highly anticipated comeback for the storied Italian yard, the creator of such groundbreaking sailing vessels as the 289-foot Maltese Falcon and the 197-foot Seahawk. Sybaris, which has an overall length of 230 feet and a 43-foot beam, features a sleek exterior that is among Perini Navi’s best, but its interior is the definition of outstanding. Miami-based PH Design used titanium, American ash, glass, Carrara marble, and bronze in its first-ever yacht interior. The materials, which could have been a disaster in the wrong hands, turned Sybaris into a subtle symphony of light, textures, and low-key elegance. With the addition of a three-floor glass staircase, titanium ceilings and furniture, and a modern-art collection, Sybaris’s open, light-filled interior has established new heights for yacht designs.
