Launched last year, the 165-foot Elsea is the first of CCN’s Fuoriserie “bespoke” line. The yacht is unusual because it combines an opulent interior (onyx, marble, Foglizzo leather, Lalique crystal, and other designer fabrics and decor) with a hull that can exceed 30 knots—light speed for a superyacht its size. Elsea’s social spaces include an upper interior saloon with a cinema room (under a ceiling with hundreds of tiny lights resembling a starlit summer sky), enclosed bridge with access to a deck with the mother of all opening hardtops, and a large exterior foredeck area with special canvas “sails” for sun protection and privacy. CCN did an impeccable job with the detailing of the interior, while the unusually low profile of the exterior (thanks to its coupe-style upper level) makes Elsea look as fast as it is. The yacht is a special comeback launch for the historic CCN yard.
