The newest iteration of the Sunreef Yachts’ 80 has been on the drawing boards for several years, but its debut at Cannes shows just how large the cruising catamaran is. Named Sunreef 80 7X, the new 80 has a four-stateroom layout with an interior by the in-house design team at Sunreef. The designers dressed 7X with teak, backlit quartz and some metallic accents. The main deck features an open-plan saloon that is palatial considering the 35-foot beam. With the full-height windows and tall ceilings, the space looks more like a lounge in a four-star seaside hotel than a typical yacht interior. There are also big social areas on the foredeck, on the flybridge, and in the aft cockpit. Sunreef has pushed the boundaries on catamaran design for nearly 20 years. This new 80 is another big leap forward for the Polish builder.
