Squadron 65

British motor yachts tend to be built for rough weather, and while Fairline’s Squadron 65 is certainly an intrepid design, it’s not a button-down boat. Perched on top the stylish blue hull is a spacious flybridge, with an alfresco dining table, sun beds and a double-helm seat. The interior, which has three staterooms, all en suite, is all about the smart use of space. The full-beam master suite is spacious and elegant, but Fairline also made the VIP suite every bit as desirable. Fairline’s designers also used modern design cues, such as square edges on the bulkheads and furniture to add to a sense of space. A profuse amount of light floods the salon and staterooms below with the use of large windows. A fourth crew stateroom is optional, and it, too, is very well lighted and airy. The interior seems more like that of a yacht ten feet longer.
