As can be seen by comparing these before and after videos, the Wider 150-foot yacht has been beautifully realized from its renderings and includes the Italian boatbuilder’s Floating Launching System. The latter allows the internal aft bay (able to house a 32-foot tender) to automatically morph into a 968-square-foot beach club—with a 23-foot swimming pool—at the press of a button.
Not revealed in the Wider 150’s sea trials video, however, is its supercar storage compartment, heli-deck, hidden foredeck lounge, and spacious Poltrona Frau–furnished interiors that include four en suite guest cabins and an 807-square-foot owner’s suite.
The hybrid diesel-and-electric propulsion system allows for a range of 3,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 13 knots. And reflecting its environmentally driven design, the yacht can travel at 5 knots in Zero Emission Mode (ZEM), thanks to a battery that can power all onboard systems for up to 8 hours (without generators) while at anchor. The Wider 150 is ready for delivery at a price of about $28.6 million. (wider-yachts.com)
